Cathrine Engebret - biography

Cathrine is an experienced and all-round linguist with a solid background in translation, editing and journalism. Through a career spanning several decades, Cathrine has gained broad experience from, among other things, the publishing and media industries with TV subtitling and communication work. As a publishing editor, Cathrine wrote and edited non-fiction books for children, including publications about Henrik Ibsen and Amalie Skram.
With a bachelor's degree in cultural and social sciences with an emphasis on journalism from Oslo University College, Cathrine has also worked as a journalist and editorial director for Bryllupsmagasinet, where she wrote and translated articles and managed the Norwegian section of the website.
Publications such as the short stories "Tidevann" and "Hjemkomst" in KK and the children's book "The Butterfly Palace" (2024), as well as writing song lyrics in collaboration with musicians, testify to a strong creative vein and ability to reach different target groups.
